Best veterinary website companies in 2026
More than thirty companies build websites for veterinary practices, and few publish a price. This page compares the largest and the best known on what a clinic can check: the published price, the contract, who owns the domain and content, how a change gets made, and what the vendor can tell you about the calls your site produces.
The short answer
The companies on this page sell three kinds of service, and each suits a different clinic.
A platform suits a clinic that wants its site on the vendor's own system, for a monthly fee, with a library of pet-health content to draw on. eVetSites, GeniusVets, LifeLearn's WebDVM and VetMatrix work this way. eVetSites publishes its price, VetMatrix and LifeLearn publish starting prices, and GeniusVets lists four packages without prices.
A specialist agency suits a clinic that wants a veterinary marketing company to run the marketing around its site: SEO, content and paid ads, and often social media and reviews. Beyond Indigo Pets, Digital Empathy, Doctor Multimedia, InTouch, iVET360 and PetDesk's Marketing service work this way. Digital Empathy publishes every price: $2,750 to build and $199 a month, billed month to month.
A website that comes with the phones suits a clinic that wants its site and its phone system from one company, so the calls the site produces are on the same system as the clinic's other calls. That's PupPilot, with calling, texting, email and fax in one inbox: $100 a month per clinic plus $25 a month per location, so a single-location clinic pays $125 a month, with no activation fee. Every call comes with its recording, transcript and summary.
Three head-to-heads go further: PupPilot vs VetMatrix, PupPilot vs Doctor Multimedia and PupPilot vs LifeLearn WebDVM.
| Company | Published price | Contract and leaving | Who owns the domain and content | How a change gets made | SEO and AI search | Call reporting | Source and date |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Beyond Indigo Pets | Not published. | Its terms leave fees and the term to a separate client contract, which isn't published, and let the client end the agreement on 30 days' written notice, with no refunds. A help article last edited in January 2022 says its services are "contracted annually, payable monthly". | Its terms: once all fees are paid, the client owns the website design, content, blog and social posts and its photos; Beyond Indigo licenses its tools to the client and keeps their code. When the agreement ends, it delivers a copy of the website in a standard electronic format. Its help center says the clinic owns its domain and Beyond Indigo never owns client domains. | By help desk ticket. Unlimited changes to text and photos are included, and major design changes may carry a fee; the clinic can edit some sections itself in an admin center (help center). | SEO is part of its Monthly Marketing Plans, including technical and local SEO (SEO page). AI search: covered in its blog, not listed as a service. | Its SEO page says it brings the clinic's phone call data into Google Analytics. | Websites, marketing plans and terms (no date shown), read October 8, 2026; help center articles last edited January 2022. |
| Digital Empathy | $2,750 to build and $199 a month for hosting, maintenance and most updates (pricing). The monthly fee starts right away, not at launch (websites). | Billed month to month; any service can be cancelled with 30 days' notice (pricing). Its terms renew monthly, count the 30 days back from the day of the month the client first accepted them, and charge fees through the termination date. | Its terms: when the relationship ends, Digital Empathy keeps its proprietary software and the client keeps all the content. The build includes "Domain transfer and DNS, handled" (websites); its pages don't say who registers the domain. | Digital Empathy makes them. The subscription covers "most updates": text, photos, team changes, and new pages when the clinic provides the content (websites). Clients send requests by support form or email (support). | Technical SEO comes with every website subscription; blog posts are $299 each and page copy $499 a page (pricing). Its SEO page names AI answers, such as Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT, as one of the areas it covers. | Vet Call Insights, $399 a month per location: tracking numbers on calls from the Google listing, website and ads, and a live call dashboard with recordings (call insights). | Pricing, websites and terms (no date shown), read October 8, 2026. |
| Doctor Multimedia | Not published for its website plans (Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond). Its AI search add-ons are $299, $599 and $899 a month. | Its contract renews automatically every twelve months unless the client gives written notice at least 30 calendar days before a term ends (paras. 6 and 7). If the client agreed to a minimum term and cancels early, the early termination fee is $999 (para. 8). When the contract ends, the site's files, database and content are packaged for the client to download (para. 12). | Its contract makes Doctor Multimedia "the sole owner of the content pages" it integrates (para. 14), lets the client keep what the client created (para. 35), and doesn't say who owns the domain. Its healthcare marketing page says the domain, website and content stay in the client's name. | Its healthcare marketing page says unlimited website edits are included, with support at any hour. Its veterinary service levels list Website Access for Updates in every tier. | Technical SEO is built into every website it makes, with more in its Diamond tier and SEO add-ons (local SEO). AI search comes as add-on packages: AI Basic, AI Advanced and AI Expert (service levels). | Call and form tracking for its paid ad campaigns (advertising). Not documented for its website plans. | Contract (no date shown), service levels and healthcare marketing page, read October 8, 2026. |
| eVetSites | $109 a month if a veterinarian at the clinic is a VIN member, $169 a month otherwise; domain management is $39 a year (pricing). | Its policies: "No contract is required and you may cancel your service at any time." Its terms, effective May 22, 2025: after a 30-day trial, the agreement runs in one-month terms that renew automatically, and either party may end it with 30 days' written notice. | Its FAQ says the clinic's domain belongs to the clinic, and the clinic can manage the domain itself (pricing). Its terms claim no ownership of content the clinic provides; eVetSites owns its software, which the clinic licenses for the term. | Its support staff make unlimited changes (pricing), and a clinic can ask to be shown how to make changes itself (support). | On-page and local SEO, with one-on-one local SEO support (pricing, features). AI search: an April 2026 blog post gives tips and offers help; not listed as a service. | Not documented. | Pricing, policies, FAQ and terms (effective May 22, 2025), read October 8, 2026. |
| GeniusVets | Not published. Its packages page lists four packages, Elite, Pro, Growth and Starter, without prices. | Its client terms: a 12-month initial term, then automatic renewal for 12 months or month to month with 30 days' written notice. The client can't end the agreement before making 12 monthly payments unless GeniusVets has breached it. | Its packages page lists "Full Website Ownership". Its client terms limit that to "Client's single unique site with its individual configuration", keep its base content on the GeniusVets platform, and on leaving give the client an archive of the site's code and content, less licensed content. The domain isn't mentioned. | Back-end access for quick updates in every package (packages), and change requests by support ticket (support). Additional services are billed at $150 an hour (client terms). | An SEO strategy covering technical, on-page and off-site SEO in all four packages (packages). It doesn't say who registers the domain. | Not documented. | Its SEO page lists technical SEO, local SEO and articles written for the clinic's site. Its digital analysis page offers a free AI Search Score. | Not documented. | intouchvet.com blocked automated reading on October 8, 2026, so these cells come from copies of its website page, SEO page and digital analysis page saved by the Internet Archive in November and December 2025. |

Its Who We Are page says its websites "are free" and gives no monthly or build price. | A blog post updated August 31, 2026 says its website-only option has "no contracts required". Its Who We Are page says the client owns every aspect of the website. | Unlimited website edits, through a digital specialist by email in its Website package (marketing suite). | SEO optimization is in its Website package (marketing suite). AI search: a March 2026 blog post covers GEO and AEO; no package lists it. | In its Agency package, not its Website package: a tracking number for each marketing piece, routed to the clinic's regular line, with each tracked call recorded (call tracking). | Marketing suite, websites, Who We Are and domain guide, read October 8, 2026. |

Its provider terms (§10.3): if an Order Form ends for any reason other than PetDesk's material breach, the fees for the whole term remain due. | Its provider terms (§13.3): PetDesk keeps ownership of the deliverables it builds; once fees are paid, the clinic is assigned the logo, media files and copy made for it. PupPilot is the phone system. | Veterinary website design, October 2026 |
| VetMatrix | Plan options "starting from $99", without saying which plan that is or what it includes (veterinary page). Its plans page names six plans and shows no prices. | Its terms, effective August 16, 2023: the first term is set in the Order Form and renews automatically for the same length unless the clinic gives written notice and a completed cancellation form at least 30 days before it ends. A clinic that leaves early "may be subject to" a fee equal to the fees left in the term. | Its terms: iMatrix owns the Services, including text, images and templates, "other than Customer Data". Where it registers the domain, its domain agreement names whoever is listed as Registrant in Whois as the holder. | "Unlimited updates" through its U.S.-based support team, or a self-service portal where the clinic edits content itself (veterinary websites). | SEO, SEO Plus and SEO Advanced in the Elevate, Boost and Dominate plans, and the AI Search Optimizer in the Dominate plan only (plans). Verified October 2026. Each company's cells come from its own pages and agreements, read October 8, 2026, except InTouch's (see Method), and link the page they come from. 'Not published' means the company's pages show no price. 'Not documented' means the pages we read don't describe it, not that the company lacks it. Vendors change prices and terms; tell us if something is out of date.
What to ask before you sign
These five questions cover what a table can't settle for your clinic. They're the same five as our guide to what a veterinary website costs, which lists the published prices and what each contract says.
- Who holds the domain registration?
- If we leave, what do we take?
- What does the agreement say about renewal and leaving early?
- What does a change to the site cost, and who makes it?
- What can you tell us about the calls the site produces?
Examples
If you came to see veterinary websites rather than compare companies, the examples are on our veterinary website design page: sites PupPilot has built, each with a picture of its homepage and a link to the live site.
Method
PupPilot publishes this page and is one of the companies on it.
iVET360's 2025 Veterinary Marketing Benchmark Report counts clinic websites by vendor and names 32 vendors, which is where "more than thirty" comes from. iVET360 is one of the companies on this page. We chose the companies from two counts of clinic websites by vendor, iVET360's report and PupPilot's own review of the market on October 8, 2026, and added PupPilot because it publishes the page. The table lists them in alphabetical order and ranks no one, PupPilot included.
iVET360's table names WhiskerCloud, not PetDesk. Vetstoria's About page says that in 2022 it teamed up with veterinary technology brands including PetDesk, WhiskerCloud and Kontak, and whiskercloud.com now redirects to petdesk.com (checked October 8, 2026), so this page lists PetDesk.
Every statement about another company comes from that company's own pages and agreements, read on October 8, 2026, and each cell links the page it comes from. Where a company's pages and its terms say different things, the table gives both. InTouch's site blocked automated reading that day, so its cells come from copies of its pages saved by the Internet Archive in November and December 2025, and say less than the others.
Questions clinics ask
Which companies specialize in veterinary practices?
Nine of the eleven are veterinary specialists: Beyond Indigo Pets, Digital Empathy, eVetSites (a division of the Veterinary Information Network), GeniusVets, InTouch, iVET360, LifeLearn, PetDesk and PupPilot. VetMatrix is the veterinary brand of iMatrix, which builds websites for other fields too, and Doctor Multimedia offers the same service levels to doctors' practices and to veterinary clinics. Digital Empathy's About page says it works with independent practices only.
Who owns the domain and content with each company?
Each company's own words are in the table's ownership column, and most divide it into the domain and the content. Beyond Indigo Pets, eVetSites, iVET360 and LifeLearn say the domain is the clinic's; Doctor Multimedia says so on a marketing page, and its contract doesn't say. Beyond Indigo Pets, Digital Empathy, eVetSites, InTouch and iVET360 say the clinic keeps its content, while the terms of Doctor Multimedia, GeniusVets, LifeLearn, PetDesk and VetMatrix keep some content or design with the company, each in different words. With PupPilot, you do: your domain stays registered to you, and PupPilot makes no claim to your content.
Which companies can report on the calls a website produces?
Most document a way to track calls, usually as a separate service or for their ads. Digital Empathy sells Vet Call Insights, with tracking numbers and recordings; GeniusVets lists call tracking in its Elite package and iVET360 in its Agency package; Doctor Multimedia and LifeLearn track the calls from the ads they run; Beyond Indigo Pets brings call data into Google Analytics; and iMatrix's website portal tracks call information. PupPilot is the phone system, so it has every call, with its recording, transcript and summary.
How much does a veterinary website cost?
Of the companies here, Digital Empathy, eVetSites, LifeLearn, PupPilot and VetMatrix publish a price or a starting price, and our guide to what a veterinary website costs sets them side by side with what each includes.
