Every figure below is traced to a primary source you can open — with its sample, its method, and a clear note on what it does and does not measure.

Many widely quoted veterinary practice statistics are difficult to trace to a primary source. This page collects the ones that can be: each entry names its publisher, links a retrievable document, states its sample and method, and notes what the figure does and does not measure. It is maintained as a reference, reviewed on a schedule, and free to cite.

The inclusion standard

Four rules, applied to every entry — including PupPilot's own data.

  1. A named publisher and a retrievable document. Every figure links to something a reader can open.
  2. A stated sample and method. n, composition, geography, dates, and how it was collected.
  3. The construct is stated, not implied. Every entry says what was actually counted — a booking-attempt failure rate is a different measurement from a missed-call rate, and the entry says which one it is.
  4. Vendor data is labelled as vendor data — ours included. Self-selected cohorts, single-site measurements, and platform telemetry carry that label on the face of the entry.
