PupPilot vs VetMatrix for veterinary websites

VetMatrix is iMatrix's website and marketing platform for veterinary practices. PupPilot builds clinic websites too, and runs the phones, texts and inbox behind them. This page compares the two on price, contract terms, how a change gets made, and what each can tell you about the calls your website produces.

The short answer

VetMatrix is iMatrix's website and marketing platform for veterinary practices, and its veterinary page lists websites, SEO, social media, photo and video production, telemedicine and monthly newsletters among its services (read October 8, 2026). PupPilot builds your clinic's website and changes it when you ask in plain words, and it's also the clinic's phone system, with calling, texting, email and fax in one inbox. VetMatrix suits a clinic that wants social media and video production from its website vendor, and PupPilot suits a clinic that wants its website and its phones on one platform.

Price and terms

PupPilot: $100 a month per clinic plus $25 a month per location, so a single-location clinic pays $125 a month, with no activation fee.

VetMatrix: iMatrix's veterinary page says "We have plan options starting from $99", and doesn't say which plan that is or what it includes. Its plans page names six plans, Core, Trust, Build, Elevate, Boost and Dominate, shows no prices, and says custom plan options are available. Its terms of service say fees are set in the Order Form and charged monthly unless the Order Form says otherwise, and that set-up, implementation and other one-time fees are due on the date the clinic signs it. No amount is published.

What VetMatrix's agreement says about renewal and leaving. Under iMatrix's terms of service, updated and effective August 16, 2023, the first term is whatever the Order Form sets. The agreement then renews automatically for terms of the same length at the fees then in force. To stop a renewal, the clinic gives written notice at least 30 days before the term ends and submits a completed cancellation form from iMatrix's Billing/Retention Department within that same period; if the form comes in later, the term renews and the clinic is charged for it. A clinic that ends the agreement before the term is over "may be subject to" a termination fee equal to the fees left in the term, due when it ends. The terms say fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable. If the services include domain registration, iMatrix's Domain Name Service Agreement, last updated October 1, 2014, applies as well. All of iMatrix's pages here were read October 8, 2026.

PupPilot: No long-term contract required. You can leave whenever you like.

Keeping the site current

PupPilot. You ask for a change in the chat, in plain words, and PupPilot changes the page, along with the details search engines and AI assistants read. Updates are unlimited and included. PupPilot also answers your clinic's calls, texts and emails, so it hears the questions clients keep asking. When your site doesn't answer one, PupPilot brings it to you: you give the answer and approve the change, and PupPilot updates the site. The veterinary website design page shows how it works.

VetMatrix. iMatrix's veterinary websites page offers "unlimited updates" through its U.S.-based support team, and a self-service portal where the clinic can make content edits itself. Its sites come with 100+ pages of veterinary educational content, on topics such as pet care, radiology, dental care and vaccines. Its veterinary page says support is by phone Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 4 PM Pacific, or by support ticket at any time, with a monthly check-in call. Both pages were read October 8, 2026.

The calls a website produces

PupPilot is the clinic's phone system, so every call your website produces comes in on PupPilot: unlimited calling and texting, email and fax, all in one inbox. Each call is kept with its recording, transcript and summary, tied to the client and their pets. The veterinary phone system page covers the line, and the veterinary shared inbox page shows where calls, texts, emails and faxes arrive.

Method

PupPilot publishes this page and is one of the two products on it. PupPilot's cells describe its own website service, as its veterinary website design page does. Every statement about VetMatrix comes from iMatrix's own pages and agreements, read October 8, 2026, and links to its source:

Questions clinics ask

Is VetMatrix the same as iMatrix?

VetMatrix is iMatrix's website and marketing platform for veterinary practices. iMatrix's veterinary page carries the VetMatrix name, and a June 26, 2016 iMatrix blog post calls VetMatrix "an iMatrix company" in Internet Brands' portfolio. iMatrix is owned by Internet Brands: the footer of its site reads "MH Sub I, LLC dba Internet Brands", and its terms of service are with MH Sub I, LLC dba iMatrix (read October 8, 2026).

What does VetMatrix cost?

iMatrix's veterinary page says "We have plan options starting from $99", and doesn't say which plan that is or what it includes. Its plans page names six plans, Core, Trust, Build, Elevate, Boost and Dominate, shows no prices, and offers a consultation. Its terms of service say set-up and other one-time fees are due when the clinic signs the Order Form, with no amount published. All three were read October 8, 2026.

Can we leave VetMatrix before the term ends?

iMatrix's terms of service, effective August 16, 2023, say a clinic that ends the agreement before its term is over "may be subject to" an early termination fee equal to the fees left in that term, due when it ends. To leave at the end of a term instead, the clinic gives written notice and submits a completed cancellation form at least 30 days before the term ends; otherwise the agreement renews for another term of the same length at the fees then in force. Read October 8, 2026.

What does a PupPilot website cost?

It's $100 a month per clinic plus $25 a month per location, so a single-location clinic pays $125 a month, with no activation fee. That covers unlimited website management: SEO, SEO audits, GEO audits and unlimited updates, forms and hosting included. No long-term contract is required, and you can leave whenever you like. The veterinary website design page has the details.
