Emitrr โ Day Agent Setup
How to set up PupPilot as your full-time AI receptionist on Emitrr with live transfer.
How Emitrr Works
Emitrr is a cloud VoIP platform with a web dashboard at app.emitrr.com. Call routing, IVR, and queue groups are all managed under Settings โ Phone Settings. The key concepts for this setup are Call Forwarding, Call Queue Groups (teams of phones that ring together), and Business Hours (time-based routing).

Part A โ Forward Your Public Number to PupPilot

Log in to Emitrr
Go to app.emitrr.com.

Enable Call Forwarding
Go to
Settings โ Phone Settings โ Call Forwarding. Toggle it On. Set to Forward all calls โ enter the PupPilot number. All calls go to PupPilot; desk phones don't ring.3
Save and Test
Call your public number โ PupPilot answers, desk phones silent.
Part B โ Set Up Your Internal Number
PupPilot needs a number to call when transferring someone to your staff. In Emitrr, this is a Call Queue Group with its own DID.
Prevent Call Loops
The internal number must NOT forward to PupPilot on no-answer. Set its fallback to voicemail.

Create a Call Queue Group
Go to
Settings โ Phone Settings โ Call Queue Groups. Click "Create New". Name it (e.g., "PupPilot Transfer โ Front Desk").2
Add Members
Click "Add Member" and select front desk staff. Set ring mode to Simultaneous. Set timeout to ~25 seconds โ fallback to voicemail.

Get a DID for the Group
If Emitrr lets you assign a DID to the queue group, do so. If not, contact Emitrr Support at +1 (210) 941-4696 or support@emitrr.com.
Say: "I need a direct phone number assigned to my Call Queue Group so an external service can route calls to our front desk team."

Test and Share
Call the DID from a cell phone โ desk phones ring. Don't answer โ goes to voicemail (not PupPilot). Share the DID with PupPilot.
Alternative Option
If a queue group DID isn't available, use an individual extension's direct number from
Settings โ Phone Settings โ Users and Extensions. Only works if the extension is externally dialable.Test the Full Flow

Goes to voicemail. Does NOT loop to PupPilot.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Fix |
|---|---|
| Calls don't reach PupPilot | Check forwarding is enabled at Settings โ Phone Settings โ Call Forwarding. Verify PupPilot number. |
| Desk phones still ring (Day Agent) | Forwarding may not be set to "Forward all calls." It might be conditional only. |
| Internal number doesn't ring | Queue group has no DID or no members. Check Call Queue Groups. Contact Emitrr Support if DID needed. |
| Calls loop | Queue group's no-answer forwards to PupPilot. Change to voicemail. |
